I am running new special-focus deep dive seminars that address two complex Oracle Query Optimizer (CBO+stats) problem areas that keep popping up, even on modern Oracle 19c+ versions. The third one is about running I/O intensive Oracle databases, avoiding unnecessary bottlenecks and optimizing caching, writes & OS I/O subsystem.
This is heavily practical stuff, derived from real-life customer problems I’ve encountered in the last few years. I’ll show how all the involved components work (or not work) together and how I’ve troubleshooted, reasoned and fixed the underlying causes. There will be new troubleshooting scripts!
Between the training and Q&A sessions, you can put what you’ve learned into use and email me your questions. I’ll either answer via email or explain them with a demo at the Q&A time.
